As it turns out, “Britain’s Got Talent” singing sensation Susan Boyle isn’t expected to perform in Australia, after all. Less than a week after a report was sent to media stations around the world suggesting that Susan had booked dates Down Under (along with New Zealand), a representative for the “I Dreamed a Dream” singer issued this denial and said,

Scottish pop sensation Susan Boyle isn’t going to the land down under anytime soon. At least, that’s what her management is saying to quell the rumors somehow started by Aussie Susan Boyle fanatics who claimed that Susan Boyle had planned the tour to make up for cancelling her Australian promotional tour in May due to fatigue.

Britain’s Got Talent superstar Susan Boyle has announced that she has postponed her forthcoming tour of Australia, says a report. Sources told a tabloid newspaper that the 49-year-old from Blackburn, West Lothian, has cancelled the trip because she “desperately needs to rest”.
Susan’s mentor Simon Cowell has said that she needs to take some time away from her hectic schedule before she can record her follow-up album to `I Dreamed A Dream’.
Boyle was scheduled to perform at an awards ceremony in Melbourne as well as performing live on Aussie TV show `Hey Hey It’s Saturday’. Manager Andy Stephens told the Daily Star: “We want to apologise to all Susan’s Australian fans and look forward to coming later in the year.”
Susan recently hit the headlines when she said that said that she believes that her life has “changed for the best”. She told The Sun: “I don’t miss much about my old life because now I am really very happy and I can do more, I can see more people.”
She added: “I didn’t get out a lot. It has changed, but it’s changed for the best. If my mum could see me now she’d probably be really proud and say, ‘well done Susan because that’s what I meant you to do’.”
Susan Boyle has cancelled her Australian visit. The Scottish singer will no longer appear at the Logie Awards or on Hey Hey it’s Saturday. “Regrettably, we have had to make the tough decision to postpone our Australian visit for the Logies in May,” her manager Andy Stephens said.
“We want to apologise to all Susan’s Australian fans and look forward to coming to Australia later in the year.”
The singer’s representatives decided Boyle needs time to recuperate from promotional tours before heading back into the recording studio. Earlier this week it was reported that Boyle threw a tantrum with her assistant, a relative, at Heathrow Airport, following a flight was delayed after she was returning from a visit to Japan.
Sony are now hoping to book Boyle to launch her second album in November, which will probably mean a Hey Hey appearance can be rescheduled.
