It”s been a few months, worldwide fame and rehab – but finally last night Susan Boyle was back where it all began.

To thunderous applause, the singer looked a million dollars in an outfit fit for a star as she took to the stage.

Susan was back in Glasgow, this time not auditioning, but the undisputed star of the live tour of Britain’s Got Talent.

She may have come second to Diversity but the biggest cheer was for her as the crowd chanted, “Susan, Susan”.

The 48-year-old appeared years younger, with a well coiffured, darker hairdo and full make-up, in a shimmery, metallic grey dress.

Host Stephen Mulhern introduced her by saying, “Now it’s time to welcome the most Googled lady on earth.

“The world’s talking about one lady. This lady.”

The 9000 crowd at the SECC were on their feet as Susan walked on stage.

On TV her performance of Memory was shaky but last night she belted out the song in a clear, powerful voice. The end saw her second ovation as she took in the screams of fans of all ages.

As the crowd roared on, she went straight into signature tune I Dreamed A Dream and with another ovation and cries of “Susan, Susan” her cocky self came out and she waved at the crowd.

Susan showed she has an incredible voice and whatever happens to her worldwide fame, in Scotland she’ll always be our own star.

The show had kicked off with DJTalent before this year’s winners Diversity followed by Shaheen Jafargholi.

Young dancer Aidan Davis, 11, even got snogged by fan Kirstyn Brown, 13, who had made a banner for him.

Flawless also went down a treat with the fans.

After Susan’s reception and the reaction to the star line-up, Stephen admitted: “You are definitely the best audience we’ve had.”

Susan and the gang are at the Edinburgh Playhouse tonight.
