Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell has reportedly admitted that the show suffered because there was no big Susan Boyle moment this year. The show achieved record ratings for it’s 2009 series, which in the end saw Susan lose out to dance troupe Diversity. She has since went on to become a global singing celebrity and has broken sales records all over the world with her debut album ‘I Dream A Dream.’
Cowell is reportedly keen to find a star as big as Susan on next year’s series of the ITV talent show. A source told The People: “Simon hasn’t been happy with the show at all, this time around. He wants projects he’s associated with to be tip top. He believes Britain’s Got Talent is now in need of some serious reinvestment.
“Last year Susan Boyle summed up the very best of what BGT is all about. There was nothing like that in this latest series. Simon feels the audition stages need to be more tightly controlled. He wants more variety than this year and an improved standard.”
